Kim Sang-kyung, born on June 1, 1972, is a South Korean actor. He gained international recognition for his portrayal of Detective Seo Tae-yoon in Bong Joon-ho's cult film *Memories of Murder* (2003). His film career includes notable roles in works such as *May 18* (2007), based on the Gwangju Uprising, and collaborations with director Hong Sang-soo in films like *Tale of Cinema* (2005) and *HaHaHa* (2010). Alongside his film work, he has cultivated a prolific television career. He is known for his portrayal of King Sejong in the historical drama *King Sejong the Great* (2008), a role that earned him the prestigious Grand Prize (Daesang) at the KBS Drama Awards.
