Lam Kwok-Hung
Lam Kwok-Hung (also known as Frederick Lam) is a Hong Kong actor, born in 1958, whose career is inextricably linked to the action cinema of the 1980s. Although he began acting in 1980, his face became internationally recognizable thanks to his role as Superintendent Raymond Li, the patient and often exasperated boss of the protagonist Chan Ka-Kui (played by Jackie Chan) in the seminal films Police Story (1985) and its sequel Police Story 2 (1988). His portrayal of the composed officer, in sharp contrast to the physical chaos unleashed by Chan, made him a memorable figure in the genre. He also appeared in other films of the era, including Project A II (1987), again alongside Chan. He was married to the actress and Cantopop singer Amy Chan from 1985 to 2013.
