
László Miske
László Miske (Miskolc, January 18, 1935) is a Hungarian actor and an iconic figure of the national theatre. His career is inextricably linked to the Csokonai Theatre in Debrecen, of which he has been a perpetual member since 1961. Throughout his long artistic career, he has played over two hundred roles, demonstrating exceptional versatility in a repertoire ranging from Shakespearean classics to modern drama. He has also participated in numerous film and television productions. His extraordinary contribution to Hungarian culture has been recognized with the highest honors. His numerous accolades include the prestigious Mari Jászai Prize (1978), the title of Meritorious Artist of the Hungarian Republic (1989), and the Kossuth Prize (2017), the highest state honor for the arts. In 2022, he was awarded the title of Actor of the Nation, definitively cementing his status as a stage legend.
