She is best known for her performance in Cristian Mungiu's award-winning film *4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days* (2007), which won the Palme d'Or at Cannes.

In the role of Găbița, a young woman seeking an illegal abortion in communist Romania, she gave a raw and moving performance, symbolizing despair and vulnerability.
