Laurence Bould
Laurence Bould, born in Bradford in 1948, is a British painter and printmaker. He received his artistic training at the Bradford College of Art and the prestigious Royal Academy Schools in London. Renowned for his ability to capture atmosphere and light, his work focuses primarily on the landscapes of northern England, exploring the relationship between the rural environment and industrial heritage. Using oil painting and etching, he creates evocative compositions, often imbued with a sense of solitude and stillness. For his artistic contribution, Bould has been elected a member of prominent institutions such as the Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers (RE) and the New English Art Club (NEAC).
