Lazaro "Laz" Alonso is an American actor of Afro-Cuban descent. After earning a degree in marketing from Howard University and working on Wall Street as an investment banker, he pursued a career in acting. His film career includes prominent roles in successful productions such as *Jarhead* (2005), Spike Lee's *Miracle at St. Anna* (2008), and notably James Cameron's *Avatar* (2009), in which he portrayed the Na'vi warrior Tsu'tey, and *Fast & Furious* (2009), where he played the antagonist Fenix Calderon. On television, he is primarily known for the role of Marvin T. Milk, alias "Mother's Milk," in the acclaimed series *The Boys*, but he has also acted in series such as *The Mysteries of Laura* and *Breakout Kings*. For his performance in the romantic comedy *Jumping the Broom* (2011), he won an NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Actor in a Motion Picture, solidifying his status as a versatile actor appreciated by both audiences and critics.
