Lesley-Anne Down

Lesley-Anne Down (born March 17, 1954) is a British actress. She began her career as a model in her teenage years, achieving international fame for her role as Georgina Worsley in the British television series *Upstairs, Downstairs* (1973-1975). Her film career includes notable roles in films such as *The Pink Panther Strikes Again* (1976), for which she received a Golden Globe nomination, *The Great Train Robbery* (1978) alongside Sean Connery, and *Hanover Street* (1979) with Harrison Ford. In the 1980s, she consolidated her popularity in the United States with her role as Madeline Fabray LaMotte in the acclaimed miniseries *North and South* (1985), which earned her another Golden Globe nomination. Subsequently, she worked in numerous television productions, becoming a familiar face to soap opera audiences for her portrayal of Jacqueline Marone in *The Bold and the Beautiful* from 2003 to 2012.
