
Lev Eliseev
Lev Grigoryevich Eliseev (Stalingrad, October 3, 1934 – Saint Petersburg, October 25, 2015) was a Soviet and Russian actor. His career was inextricably linked to the Akimov Comedy Theatre in Leningrad (now Saint Petersburg), where he worked for over fifty years, becoming one of its leading figures. Alongside his stage career, he had a prolific film career, debuting in the 1950s and appearing in over seventy films. His most notable roles include those in the films *Striped Trip* (Polosatyy reys, 1961), *The Republic of ShKID* (Respublika ShKID, 1966), and the television musical *Truffaldino iz Bergamo* (1976), works that brought him great popularity. For his versatility and artistic contribution, he was awarded the highest state honors: the title of Honored Artist of the RSFSR in 1974 and People's Artist of the Russian Federation in 2005.
