
Lily Tomlin
Mary Jean "Lily" Tomlin is an American actress, comedian, screenwriter, and producer. She rose to prominence in the late 1960s on the television show *Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In*, where she created iconic characters such as the telephone operator Ernestine. Her acclaimed film debut in Robert Altman's *Nashville* (1975) earned her an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress, launching a successful career on the big screen that includes titles such as *9 to 5* (1980) and *All of Me* (1984). On stage, she won a Tony Award for her one-woman show, *The Search for Signs of Intelligent Life in the Universe*.
