Linda Fiorentino

Linda Fiorentino (born Clorinda Fiorentino; March 9, 1958) is an American actress. She rose to fame in the mid-1980s with films such as *Vision Quest* and especially Martin Scorsese's *After Hours* (1985). Her career peaked in the 1990s, particularly with her role as the *femme fatale* Bridget Gregory in the noir film *The Last Seduction* (1994). For this performance, she received unanimous critical acclaim, winning the New York Film Critics Circle Award and the Independent Spirit Award for Best Actress, as well as a BAFTA nomination. She was ineligible for an Academy Award nomination because the film was broadcast on cable television prior to its theatrical release. Her other notable roles include Dr. Laurel Weaver in the commercial success *Men in Black* (1997) and Bethany Sloane in Kevin Smith's satirical comedy *Dogma* (1999). Her film activity has decreased significantly since the early 2000s.
