
Linda Geiser
Linda Geiser, born in 1935 in Köniz, is a Swiss actress whose career spans over seventy years. Following her training in Bern, she established herself on German-speaking stages, becoming a member of the ensemble at the prestigious Burgtheater in Vienna. She made her film debut early, starring in highly successful Swiss films such as *Uli der Knecht* (1954) and its sequel, *Uli der Pächter* (1955). Her career also took her to New York, where she lived and worked for several years. However, she achieved widespread popularity among the Swiss general public for her role as Johanna Blanc in the long-running television series *Lüthi und Blanc*, which aired from 1999 to 2007. For this performance, she received the Prix Walo in 2005. Her extensive and influential career was further recognized in 2011 with the Swiss Television Lifetime Achievement Award.
