Livio Galassi (Cesena, 1951) is an Italian animator, director, and cartoonist, considered a prominent figure in the national animation scene. His career began in the 1970s at the studio of Bruno Bozzetto, where he collaborated on iconic works such as *Vip - My Brother Superman* and the feature film *Allegro non troppo*. After establishing himself as an independent director, he specialized in the animated adaptation of famous literary and comic book works. Among his most noted works, which received widespread public and critical acclaim, are his direction of the television series *Lupo Alberto*, based on the eponymous comic strip by Silver, and *Sandokan - The Tiger of Malaysia*, adapted from the novels by Emilio Salgari. He also directed episodes of series such as *Cocco Bill* and *The Extraordinary Adventures of Jules Verne*, contributing significantly to consolidating the tradition of Italian animated series and earning a prominent place among the masters of the field.
