Loredana Detto
Loredana Detto (Milan, 26 July 1940 – Rome, 18 July 2020) was an Italian actress. Her film career, although brief, was significant in the early 1960s. She made her debut in 1961 as the female lead in Luciano Salce's film *Il federale*, on the set of which she met Ugo Tognazzi, whom she would marry in 1972. Her performance brought her immediate recognition. Subsequently, she appeared in notable works such as the episode *La riffa*, directed by Vittorio De Sica for the film *Boccaccio '70* (1962), Antonio Pietrangeli's *La parmigiana* (1963), and Giuliano Montaldo's *Una bella grinta* (1965). Despite a promising start to her career, in the middle of the decade she decided to retire from acting to dedicate herself to her family. From her marriage to Tognazzi, she had two children, Gianmarco and Maria Sole, both of whom are active in the film industry.
