Lucia Bosè (born Lucia Borloni; Milan, 28 January 1931 – Segovia, 23 March 2020) was an Italian actress, a prominent figure in Neorealist and international cinema. Her career took off after winning the Miss Italia pageant in 1947, which opened the doors to film. She soon became an icon of Neorealism, playing memorable roles for directors such as Giuseppe De Santis in *Non c'è pace tra gli ulivi* (1950) and especially Michelangelo Antonioni, who directed her in masterpieces such as *Cronaca di un amore* (1950) and *La signora senza camelie* (1953), works that defined her image as an intense and modern actress. After a period away from the screen, she returned to acting in major international productions, collaborating with directors of the caliber of Luis Buñuel, Jean Cocteau, and Federico Fellini, for whom she appeared in *Satyricon* (1969). Her long and versatile career, which continued into the 2000s, was celebrated with numerous accolades, consolidating her status as one of the most important actresses of post-war Italian cinema.
