Luciano Colitti, born in Rome in 1947, is an Italian painter and engraver. Having established himself on the art scene in the late 1960s, he is considered a leading exponent of the New Figuration movement. His artistic research focuses on the human figure, explored through an expressionist language characterized by powerful brushwork and intense chromaticism. His works, often large in scale, explore themes of significant social, political, and existential impact, staging the drama and unease of the contemporary human condition.
