Luciano De Ambrosis

Luciano De Ambrosis (Turin, 28 March 1937) is an Italian actor, voice actor, and dubbing director. His artistic career began early as a child actor, with the role of the young Pricò in Vittorio De Sica's neorealist film *The Children Are Watching Us* (1943). After establishing himself in the world of dubbing, he became one of the most recognizable and authoritative voices in Italian cinema. He is best known for being the official Italian voice of Sean Connery, lending his voice to the actor in almost his entire filmography, including the James Bond saga. He has also dubbed famous international stars such as Burt Lancaster, Marlon Brando (in the role of Vito Corleone in *The Godfather*), Rock Hudson, Paul Newman, and Frank Sinatra. Concurrently, he worked extensively as a dubbing director, founding the company S.A.S. (Società Attori Sincronizzatori). For his contribution to the world of cinema and dubbing, he has received numerous awards, including the Special Nastro d'Argento in 2004 and the Leggio d'oro for Lifetime Achievement.
