
Lucy Marlow
Lucy Marlow, born Lucy Ann McAleer (Los Angeles, November 20, 1932), is an American actress, primarily active in the 1950s. Her career was tied to Columbia Pictures, which signed her to a contract and had her debut in supporting roles in major productions. Among her most significant performances are those in the celebrated musical film *A Star Is Born* (1954), alongside Judy Garland and James Mason; the melodrama *Queen Bee* (1955), with Joan Crawford; and the musical comedy *My Sister Eileen* (1955), where she acted alongside Janet Leigh and Jack Lemmon. For her promising career start, in 1955 she was awarded the Golden Globe as New Star of the Year – Actress. Her time in the film industry was brief, however; she retired from the screen at the end of the decade following her marriage to dedicate herself to her family, later pursuing a career in real estate.
