
Luna Sofía Miranda
Luna Sofía Miranda is an Argentine director, screenwriter, and writer, known for her exploration of the themes of memory, identity, and family ties. Born in Buenos Aires, she began her career with a series of critically acclaimed short films before making her feature film debut with *Echi di Silenzio* (2005). Her international breakthrough came with the film *La Geometria dell'Assenza* (2012), a complex work on diaspora and loss, which earned her the Jury Prize at the Cannes Film Festival. For the same film, she also won the Silver Bear for Best Screenplay at the Berlin Film Festival, consolidating her reputation as an auteur with a non-linear and visually evocative narrative style. Alongside her film career, Miranda is the author of several novels, including the bestseller *Il Filo Invisibile*, which has received major literary awards in Latin America. Her work is often associated with a magical realism that blends character psychology with dreamlike elements.
