Priscilla Chan is an American pediatrician and philanthropist, best known as the co-founder and co-CEO of the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative (CZI), a philanthropic organization she leads with her husband, Mark Zuckerberg. After graduating from Harvard University, she earned her medical degree from the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). Before dedicating herself full-time to CZI, she worked as a pediatrician at the Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital. Her leadership at CZI has directed billions of dollars toward scientific research, particularly the Biohub project to map human cells, and toward programs for personalized learning and justice system reform.
