Mantana Wannaros
Mantana Wannaros, born in 1974, is a Thai artist and painter known for her works that explore the themes of memory, identity, and childhood. Her paintings, primarily created with acrylics, are characterized by dreamlike and surreal atmospheres, populated by childlike figures—often hybrid or with zoomorphic features—who inhabit complex inner worlds. A graduate of the prestigious Silpakorn University in Bangkok, she has established herself as one of the leading figures of her generation in the Southeast Asian art scene. Her career has led her to exhibit her works in numerous galleries and museums across Asia, Europe, and the United States, consolidating her international reputation. Her work has received significant recognition, including being named a finalist for the Sovereign Asian Art Prize, which attests to its value and influence in contemporary Thai art.
