Mara Krupp
Mara Krupp is an Italian artist and painter born in Siena. Trained at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence, her artistic research focuses on figurative painting that combines a rigorous, hyperrealist-based realism with a deep inspiration drawn from the Renaissance and Baroque painting traditions. Using the technique of oil on canvas or panel, she creates portraits, still lifes, and allegorical scenes characterized by theatrical light and meticulous attention to detail, lending a classical monumentality to contemporary subjects. Her career has been marked by significant accolades, including winning the prestigious Cairo Prize in 2020.
