
Margaret Lindsay
Margaret Lindsay, born Margaret Kies, was an American actress, active primarily during the Golden Age of Hollywood. Following her debut in the Oscar-winning film *Cavalcade* (1933), she signed a contract with Warner Bros., becoming a familiar face in numerous films of the 1930s and 1940s. She often played sophisticated supporting roles or the romantic rival, demonstrating great versatility. Her most significant performances include *Jezebel* (1938), opposite Bette Davis, *The House of the Seven Gables* (1940), and *Scarlet Street* (1945). Throughout her career, she worked with stars such as James Cagney and William Powell. In later years, her career continued with character roles in film and television until the early 1960s. For her contribution to the motion picture industry, she was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
