María Martín, pseudonym of María Ester Martín Salinas (Marbella, May 14, 1923 – Barcelona, September 10, 2014), was a Spanish actress. Active primarily between the 1940s and the 1970s, she became a well-known face in Spanish cinema and international co-productions, particularly Italian ones. Her career was distinguished by remarkable versatility, ranging from drama to adventure films, from peplum to Spaghetti Westerns, a genre in which she achieved her greatest popularity. Her most internationally famous role is as Marisol in Sergio Leone's film *Per un pugno di dollari* (1964). Her other significant performances include *La mies es mucha* (1948), *I due violenti* (1964), and *L'ultimo dei mohicani* (1965). For her performance in *La mies es mucha*, she won the Medalla del Círculo de Escritores Cinematográficos for Best Supporting Actress. In many international productions, she was credited under the pseudonym Mery Martin.
