
Marianne Denicourt
Marianne Denicourt, born in Paris on May 14, 1963, is a French actress and director. Trained at the prestigious Théâtre des Amandiers school in Nanterre under the guidance of Patrice Chéreau, she established herself in arthouse cinema starting in the late 1980s. Her career has been marked by notable collaborations, particularly with Jacques Rivette, for whom she acted in films such as *La Belle Noiseuse* (1991) and *Haut bas fragile* (1995). She also worked extensively with Arnaud Desplechin, appearing in significant works such as *La Sentinelle* (1992) and *Comment je me suis disputé... (ma vie sexuelle)* (1996). For the latter performance, she received a César Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress. Her versatile filmography also includes titles such as *Sade* (2000) by Benoît Jacquot and *Médecin de campagne* (2016) by Thomas Lilti. In addition to acting, she directed the documentary *Nassima, une vie confisquée*.
