
Marianne Koch
Marianne Koch, born in Munich, is a German actress, physician, and television host whose film career peaked between the 1950s and 1960s. During this period, she appeared in approximately seventy productions, both in Germany and internationally. She is best known to the general public for her role as Marisol in Sergio Leone's film *A Fistful of Dollars* (1964), where she starred alongside Clint Eastwood. Her filmography also includes significant Hollywood collaborations, such as the film *Night People* (1954) with Gregory Peck. In the early 1970s, Koch left acting to pursue medical studies, graduating in 1974 and opening her own practice as an internist. Subsequently, she became a well-known science communicator on radio and television. For her artistic and social contributions, she has received major honors, including the Bambi Award and the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany.
