Marika Rowsky is a French dancer, choreographer, and dance educator. Born in Paris and trained at the Paris Opéra Ballet School, she achieved the highest rank of danseuse étoile with the prestigious company. Her performing career was distinguished by a remarkable versatility that allowed her to excel both in the classical repertoire, with iconic roles such as Giselle, and in the creations of world-renowned modern and contemporary choreographers, including Roland Petit and Maurice Béjart. Following her retirement from the stage, she embarked on an influential career dedicated to teaching and the transmission of choreographic knowledge, becoming a leading figure in dance education. She held positions of great responsibility, such as Director of Dance Studies at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, training entire generations of dancers. For her exceptional contribution to the world of dance, she has been awarded important honors, including the title of Commander of the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres.
