Massimo Bonetti, born in Rome on March 28, 1951, is an Italian actor and director. His career took off in the 1980s, establishing him as a well-known face in auteur cinema. His collaboration with the Taviani brothers was fundamental; they directed him in internationally acclaimed films such as *The Night of the Shooting Stars* (1982) and *Kaos* (1984). He has worked with other important directors, including Pupi Avati, for whom he acted in *The Story of Boys and Girls* (1989), a performance that earned him the David di Donatello for Best Supporting Actor. His filmography includes titles such as *Giovanni Falcone* (1993) and *The Heart Elsewhere* (2003).
