Matt King was an American artist and entrepreneur, best known as a co-founder and key creative figure of the art collective Meow Wolf. As Senior Creative Director, he played a pivotal role in the development of the group's celebrated immersive and interactive art installations, which redefined the concept of the museum experience. His vision was instrumental in the success of monumental works such as "House of Eternal Return" in Santa Fe, "Omega Mart" in Las Vegas, and "Convergence Station" in Denver, projects for which he led teams of hundreds of artists. His style, often described as maximalist and collaborative, defined Meow Wolf's distinctive aesthetic, blending art, narrative, and technology. Through his contributions, the collective achieved widespread international recognition, becoming a benchmark in the landscape of experiential art. His untimely death in 2022 left a lasting legacy in the world of contemporary art.
