Maurizio Di Paolantonio
Maurizio Di Paolantonio (Teramo, 1968) is an Italian film director and screenwriter. His career was initially established in the world of short films, where he received prestigious awards. Among his most celebrated works are *Il debito* (2002), for which he won the David di Donatello for Best Short Film, and *Basette* (2006), which was awarded the Nastro d'Argento. As a screenwriter, he has collaborated on several projects, including the film *Cose dell'altro mondo* (2011), directed by Francesco Patierno. In 2018, he made his feature film directorial debut with *Una vita spericolata*, a road movie starring Lorenzo Richelmy and Matilda De Angelis, for which he received a David di Donatello nomination for Best New Director. His body of work also includes documentaries, confirming his versatile authorial voice in the Italian cinematic landscape.
