
Max Casella
Max Casella, born Maxwell Deitch (Washington, D.C., June 6, 1967), is an American actor. He first gained prominence playing Vinnie Delpino in the television series *Doogie Howser, M.D.* and Racetrack Higgins in the cult film *Newsies* (1992). His career has continued with notable roles in acclaimed television series, including Benny Fazio in *The Sopranos*, Leo D'Alessio in *Boardwalk Empire*, and more recently, Armand Truisi in *Tulsa King*. In film, he has collaborated with directors such as Tim Burton (*Ed Wood*), the Coen brothers (*Inside Llewyn Davis*), and Woody Allen (*Blue Jasmine*). Also active in theater, he originated the role of Timon in the original Broadway cast of the musical *The Lion King*. He has also voiced the character of Daxter in the popular video game series *Jak and Daxter*. For his work in television, he has won two Screen Actors Guild Awards as part of the cast of *The Sopranos* and *Boardwalk Empire*, accolades that underscore his contribution to ensembles of great critical and popular acclaim.
