
Mel Blanc
Melvin "Mel" Blanc (1908-1989) was an American voice actor, comedian, and actor, universally known as "The Man of a Thousand Voices" for his extraordinary versatility. His career is inextricably linked to the golden age of Warner Bros. animation, for which he voiced nearly all of the main characters in the *Looney Tunes* and *Merrie Melodies* series. Among his most famous creations are Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig, Sylvester the Cat, Tweety Bird, Yosemite Sam, Foghorn Leghorn, and Speedy Gonzales. In addition to his work for Warner Bros., he was the original voice of Barney Rubble in *The Flintstones* and Mr. Spacely in *The Jetsons* for Hanna-Barbera. Beginning in radio, his career established him as a pioneering and legendary figure in the field of voice acting. For his contribution to the entertainment industry, he received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. He worked almost until his death, and his epitaph reads the famous phrase he made iconic: "THAT'S ALL FOLKS".
