
Melisa Sözen
Melisa Sözen, born in Istanbul on July 6, 1985, is a Turkish film, television, and theater actress. She began her career at a young age, training at the Theater Department of the Pera Fine Arts High School. She gained national recognition with roles in popular television series such as *Bıçak Sırtı* and notably *Muhteşem Yüzyıl* (The Magnificent Century), where she played the character of Efsun Hatun. Her international breakthrough came with the 2014 film *Kış Uykusu* (Winter Sleep), directed by Nuri Bilge Ceylan. The film won the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival, and her intense performance in the role of Nihal earned her the Best Actress award from SIYAD, the Turkish Film Critics Association. Her filmography also includes notable works such as *Av Mevsimi* and the critically acclaimed series *Kırmızı Oda*. She has also participated in international productions, including the American series *Damien*, demonstrating her versatility.
