
Michael Ansara
Michael Ansara (April 15, 1922 – July 31, 2013) was a Syrian-American actor known for his prolific career in television and film. He rose to fame in the 1950s portraying Apache Chief Cochise in the television series *Broken Arrow*, a groundbreaking role for its time. Another of his iconic roles was that of Klingon Commander Kang, which he reprised in three different series within the *Star Trek* franchise over a span of nearly thirty years, beginning with the original series. In film, he appeared in movies such as *The Ten Commandments* (1956) and *Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea* (1961). Later in his career, his deep, resonant voice made him an acclaimed voice actor, notably for the character of Mr. Freeze in the award-winning *Batman* animated series, a performance that earned him critical acclaim. For his contribution to the television industry, he received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
