Michael Hinz (Berlin, December 28, 1939 – Munich, November 6, 2008) was a German actor and voice actor. The son of actors Werner Hinz and Ehmi Bessel, he achieved international fame at a very young age for his role in the anti-war film *The Bridge* (*Die Brücke*, 1959), directed by Bernhard Wicki. For this performance, he won major awards, including the Deutscher Filmpreis (German Film Award) and a Bambi Award. His career continued with roles in international productions such as *The Longest Day* (1962). From the 1970s onward, he became a familiar face on German television, acting in numerous successful series such as *Das Erbe der Guldenburgs* and *Forsthaus Falkenau*. In addition to film and television, he was also very active in theater and as a voice actor, lending his voice to Jeff Goldblum and Scott Bakula, among others.
