
Michael McKean
Michael John McKean, born October 17, 1947, is an American actor, comedian, musician, and screenwriter. He rose to fame playing Leonard "Lenny" Kosnowski in the hit sitcom *Laverne & Shirley*. His career is inextricably linked to the mockumentary *This Is Spinal Tap* (1984), a film he co-wrote and in which he stars as singer and guitarist David St. Hubbins, also contributing to the soundtrack. He cemented his fame by appearing in numerous films directed by Christopher Guest, including *Best in Show* and *A Mighty Wind*. For the latter, he co-wrote the song "A Kiss at the End of the Rainbow," which received an Academy Award nomination. More recently, he has earned critical acclaim for his complex dramatic portrayal of Chuck McGill in the television series *Better Call Saul*, a role that earned him an Emmy Award nomination. His career is characterized by remarkable versatility, which has allowed him to excel in both comedic and dramatic roles on stage, in film, and on television.
