Michele Cossu
Michele Cossu (Iglesias, 1961) is an Italian sculptor and painter. His artistic research, deeply rooted in the Mediterranean and archaic culture of Sardinia, is expressed through a powerful and symbolic language. He works primarily with materials such as terracotta, bronze, stone, and wood, exploring universal themes like the human figure, myth, the sacred, and the relationship between humanity and nature. His works, which include monumental sculptures, installations, and paintings, have been featured in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Italy and abroad, including in France, Germany, the United States, and Japan, solidifying his international reputation. Among his most notable public works is the "Porta del Terzo Millennio" (Gate of the Third Millennium) in Iglesias.
