
Mike Mazurki
Mike Mazurki, born Mikhail Mazurkevych, was an American actor and wrestler of Ukrainian descent, known for his imposing screen presence and his distinctive face. After a successful career in professional wrestling in the 1930s, he made his film debut, where his physique made him perfect for "tough guy" roles. He achieved international fame with his portrayal of Moose Malloy in the acclaimed film noir *Murder, My Sweet* (1944). Establishing himself as a prolific character actor, his filmography includes over 140 titles, in which he predominantly played henchmen, bodyguards, or gentle giants. His most notable works include roles in classics such as *Samson and Delilah* (1949), *Some Like It Hot* (1959), and *It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World* (1963). In 1965, in recognition of his connection to the world of combat sports, he co-founded and became the first president of the Cauliflower Alley Club, a prestigious fraternal organization dedicated to professional wrestlers and boxers.
