Mina E. Mina
Mina Anna Maria Mazzini, known simply as Mina (Busto Arsizio, March 25, 1940), is an Italian singer, record producer, and television presenter, considered one of the greatest interpreters of popular music of all time. Nicknamed the "Tigress of Cremona," she debuted in the late 1950s, quickly establishing herself with her extraordinary vocal range of over three octaves and her interpretive versatility, capable of spanning genres from pop to jazz, and from rock to bossa nova. Her career was marked by enormous recording and television success in the 1960s and 1970s, until her voluntary withdrawal from public life in 1978. Despite her absence from the stage, she has continued to regularly release albums of new material and covers, maintaining a constant influence on Italian music. Her repertoire includes iconic songs such as "Il cielo in una stanza," "Se telefonando," "Grande, grande, grande," and "Amor mio," which resulted from collaborations with writers and composers like Mogol, Lucio Battisti, and Ennio Morricone. She has received numerous awards, including the Targa Tenco for Lifetime Achievement and the honor of Grand Officer of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic.
