Misayo Haruki
Misayo Haruki is an internationally renowned Japanese artist known for her works in glass. Born in Kanagawa Prefecture, she trained at Tama Art University, specializing in the complex technique of *pâte de verre*, which she masters with exceptional skill. Her artistic work focuses on the depiction of natural motifs, such as flowers, plants, and insects, rendered with extraordinary delicacy and attention to detail. Her sculptures, characterized by soft yet vibrant colors and a translucent and ethereal quality, capture the fragility and ephemeral beauty of the organic world. Haruki's works have been exhibited in prestigious institutions and are part of important permanent collections, including those of the Corning Museum of Glass in the United States, which awarded her the prestigious Rakow Commission, and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. These accolades solidify her status as a leading figure and contemporary master in the art of glass.
