Moira Kelly (Queens, March 6, 1968) is an American actress. She rose to prominence in the early 1990s with leading roles such as figure skater Kate Moseley in the cult film *The Cutting Edge* (1992). In the same year, she played Oona O'Neill in Richard Attenborough's biopic *Chaplin* and took over the role of Donna Hayward in David Lynch's *Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me*. Her voice is widely recognized for voicing the character of adult Nala in the Disney animated classic *The Lion King* (1994) and its sequels. On television, despite appearing in the first season of the hit series *The West Wing*, her most celebrated role is that of Karen Roe, the single mother she portrayed for six seasons in the popular teen drama *One Tree Hill*, a role that solidified her fame with the general public. Her career, characterized by versatile choices between independent cinema and mainstream productions, also includes roles in films such as *With Honors* and *Unhook the Stars*.
