Molly Lamont
Molly Lamont was a South African-born British actress, active mainly in British and American cinema from the 1930s to the early 1950s. She began her career in the United Kingdom before moving to Hollywood, where she established herself as a prolific character actress, often cast in elegant or aristocratic supporting roles. Her filmography includes over fifty films. Among her most notable appearances are *The Jungle Princess* (1936), the acclaimed comedy *The Awful Truth* (1937) alongside Cary Grant and Irene Dunne, and the horror film *Scared to Death* (1947), the only color film starring Bela Lugosi. Although she did not receive major awards, her contribution to the cinema of the era is evidenced by her consistent presence in successful productions. She retired from acting in 1951, after her final film.
