Moroni Olsen

Moroni Olsen (June 27, 1889 – November 22, 1954) was an American actor. Known for his deep, authoritative voice, he specialized in character roles, often portraying fatherly figures, judges, or officials. His career began in the theater, where he also worked as a teacher and director, before moving to Hollywood in the mid-1930s. His most iconic role is undoubtedly that of the Magic Mirror in the Disney classic *Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs* (1937), to which he lent his famous voice. His numerous film credits include Porthos in *The Three Musketeers* (1935), the senior angel in Frank Capra's *It's a Wonderful Life* (1946), and supporting roles in successful films such as Alfred Hitchcock's *Notorious* (1946) and *Mildred Pierce* (1945). Although he did not receive any major awards, Olsen is recognized as one of the most reliable and prolific character actors of his era, whose screen and vocal presence enriched more than one hundred films.
