Morteza Fatemi
Morteza Fatemi, born on February 22, 1982, is an Iranian actor, director, and screenwriter. Trained in acting at the University of Tehran, he began his career in theater before establishing himself in film and television. He gained widespread recognition as an actor for his performance in the film *Hoze Naghashi* (The Painting Pool, 2013), a role that earned him a Best Actor nomination for the prestigious Crystal Simorgh at the Fajr Film Festival. His acting credits also include roles in notable works such as the film *Bodyguard* (2016) and the popular television series *Shahrzad*. Subsequently, he moved behind the camera, making his directorial debut with the feature film *Sag Band* (Stray, 2022), for which he also served as screenwriter. His work is distinguished by his ability to portray complex and dramatic roles, consolidating his position as a versatile figure in contemporary Iranian cinema.
