Myriam Loucif
Myriam Loucif is an Italian-Algerian film director, screenwriter, and author. Her film career gained recognition with the short film *Avenir* (2020), which won the award for Best Short Film in the Orizzonti section at the 77th Venice International Film Festival. She subsequently worked as co-creator and co-screenwriter of the French television series *Le Remplaçant*. In 2023, she made her fiction debut with the novel *Niente di vero*, published by il Saggiatore. The work, which explores themes of identity, family memory, and cultural belonging, received significant critical acclaim, was shortlisted for the 2024 Strega Prize, and won the Strega Giovani Prize and the Mondello Prize for a Debut Work. Her work, in both film and literature, is characterized by an exploration of second-generation dynamics and multicultural identities.
