Nadine Ballot
Nadine Ballot is a French actress, primarily active during the 1960s. Her career is inextricably linked to the role of Nicole Cruchot, the daughter of the gendarme played by Louis de Funès, in the first installment of the successful comedy series, *The Gendarme of Saint-Tropez* (*Le Gendarme de Saint-Tropez*) (1964). Although the character was later played by another actress in the sequels, her original performance contributed significantly to the film's enormous success. Her filmography includes other appearances in popular comedies of the era, such as *Les gorilles* (1962) and a second collaboration with Louis de Funès in *The Big Restaurant* (*Le Grand Restaurant*) (1966). She also worked in international productions, acting in the film *More than a Miracle* (*C'era una volta*) (1967) by Francesco Rosi. Despite having a relatively short film career concentrated in a single decade, her face has remained etched in the collective imagination as one of the representative figures of French cinema of that period, earning lasting recognition thanks to the success of her most famous work.
