Nao Omori (born February 19, 1972) is a Japanese actor, the son of actor and dancer Akaji Maro. He began his film career in the mid-1990s, establishing himself as one of the most versatile and prolific performers in contemporary Japanese cinema. His international recognition grew significantly with his role as the sadomasochist Ichi in the cult film *Ichi the Killer* (2001) by Takashi Miike, a director with whom he has collaborated on multiple occasions. His filmography spans drama, thriller, and arthouse films, demonstrating a great ability to portray complex and tormented characters. Among his most acclaimed performances are *Vibrator* (2003), for which he received the Best Actor award at the Yokohama Film Festival, and *The Ravine of Goodbye* (2013), which earned him the prestigious Japan Academy Prize for Best Actor. Active in both film and numerous television productions, Omori is appreciated for the intensity and depth he brings to each of his roles.
