Nathalie Roubaud

Nathalie Roubaud is a French photographer born in 1960. Her work, predominantly in black and white, explores themes such as memory, absence, intimacy, and the passage of time, often creating a dialogue between image and text. She is particularly known for her long and fruitful artistic collaboration with the writer Jean-Yves Cendrey, with whom she has co-authored numerous works. Their most celebrated book, *La Maison des amants* (1995), received widespread critical acclaim, culminating in winning the prestigious Prix Nadar in 1996, one of the most important French photography awards. Her other significant works include *Chambre noire* and the series *Inventaire*. Her photographs have been exhibited in major international institutions and festivals, such as the Rencontres d'Arles and the Maison Européenne de la Photographie in Paris, consolidating her position as a prominent figure in contemporary French photography for her poetic and narrative approach.
