
Nina Hoss
Nina Hoss, born in Stuttgart on July 7, 1975, is a German actress, considered one of the most acclaimed performers of her generation. She rose to prominence in 1996 with the film *Das Mädchen Rosemarie*, but her career is inextricably linked to her artistic collaboration with director Christian Petzold. For him, she has portrayed complex and resilient women in films such as *Yella* (2007), *Barbara* (2012), and *Phoenix* (2014). For her performance in *Yella*, she received the Silver Bear for Best Actress at the Berlin International Film Festival, one of the many awards she has won in her career. Also successful in theater, she was a long-time member of the ensemble at the Schaubühne in Berlin. Her international reputation was solidified by roles in productions such as the television series *Homeland*, the film *A Most Wanted Man* (2014), and the multi-award-winning *Tár* (2022), alongside Cate Blanchett.
