Nina Hoss, born in Stuttgart on July 7, 1975, is a German actress, considered one of the most acclaimed performers of her generation. She rose to prominence in 1996 with the film *Das Mädchen Rosemarie*, but her career is inextricably linked to her artistic collaboration with director Christian Petzold. For him, she has portrayed complex and resilient women in films such as *Yella* (2007), *Barbara* (2012), and *Phoenix* (2014). For her performance in *Yella*, she received the Silver Bear for Best Actress at the Berlin International Film Festival, one of the many awards she has won in her career.
