Nina Pens Rode (May 22, 1929 – July 22, 1992) was a Danish actress, celebrated for her career in theatre and film. Primarily establishing herself on the stage, she was one of the leading performers at the Royal Danish Theatre (Det Kongelige Teater) in Copenhagen, where she performed a vast repertoire of classical and modern roles. Her international fame is mainly linked to her leading role in Carl Theodor Dreyer's film *Gertrud* (1964), an intense and stylized performance that became iconic and earned her the Bodil Award for Best Actress. Her other significant film appearances include *Ditte, Child of Man* (1946), for which she won another Bodil Award for Best Supporting Actress, and *The Soldier and Jenny* (1947). Her career, characterized by a precise acting style of great psychological depth, established her as one of the most important figures of the 20th-century Danish stage.
