Oja Kodar
Oja Kodar, the stage name of Olga Palinkaš, is a Croatian actress, screenwriter, and director, primarily known for her long and intense professional and personal collaboration with director Orson Welles. Beginning in the 1960s, she became his muse and creative partner, co-writing key works such as the posthumous film *The Other Side of the Wind* (2018), in which she also acted. She also appeared in significant roles in other Welles projects, including the docu-drama *F for Fake* (1973). As the heir to a large part of his artistic estate, she has played a crucial role in the restoration and completion of several of the director's unfinished works. Her directorial career includes the feature films *Jaded* (1989) and *Vrijeme za...* (1993). Her contribution to cinema has been recognized with several lifetime achievement awards, including one from the Pula Film Festival, Croatia's most important film festival, which celebrated her impact both as an independent artist and as the custodian of Welles's legacy.
